Misty Eyes Animal Center is a foster-based rescue.

This means we can only accept animals when we have foster homes available.  With local rescues and shelters in crisis, our surrender requests are the highest we’ve ever seen.  It is heartbreaking to be unable to take in dogs, puppies, cats and kittens when they need us most.  When you become an approved Misty Eyes foster, you allow us to save more homeless pets.

 

Fosters provide the love, Misty Eyes provides the rest.

Fostering introduces pets to life in a stable, loving home.  Misty Eyes provides any food, supplies, toys and veterinary treatment the pet will need while in foster care.  As a foster, you’ll get to know the pet, which helps Misty Eyes find the ideal forever home.

 

Is it heart-wrenching to give up a foster pet when they are adopted?

Yes, it is. However, the alternative is much more painful.  Without foster homes available, most pets will likely be euthanized. Fostering save lives.  And each time your foster pet gets adopted, you can go on to save another.
